SPECFICATIONS:
Fiberglass Reinforced Composite (FRC) Ground set flagpole Model # NSM 40YA

The flagpole is 40' tall, with 4' below ground, making the overall length 44'. It has an 8" butt diameter and a 3" top diameter, weighing approximately 121 lbs. with the yardarm and 237 lbs. in total for shipping. The 11' yardarm has a 4" center and 3" ends.

Constructed from fiberglass woven roving and polyester resin, the pole has 75% of reinforcing fibers oriented axially for maximum stiffness and 25% radially for hoop strength. Load calculations are based on AASHTO and NAAMM standards, with a 2:1 safety factor for 150 mph winds (unflagged) and a 1.3 gust factor. The flagpole features an Entasis taper and is free of vertical mold seams, sanded smooth, and coated with a high gloss Aliphatic Polyurea coating system for extended UV protection and weather resistance.

Standard Fittings:
The flagpole shall be equipped with PLP standard fittings:

• A 8" gold anodized aluminum ball - #10 (5/16") polyester halyard
• 3 - 8" aluminum powder coated cleat - a 23" diameter composite flash collar
• Stainless steel swivel snaps with vinyl covers. (3 Sets)
• External stationary fiberglass truck - 3' x 8" fiberglass ground sleeve.
• The yardarm shall be equipped with:
• Yardarm bracket powder coated to match color of pole (2-piece bracket)
• Stainless steel yardarm pulleys and eye bolts
• #10 polyester halyards (one for each side of yardarm)
• Powder coated aluminum cleats (one for each side of yardarm)
• Stainless steel swivel snaps with vinyl covers (two per side of yardarm)
